Nancy Cabral

Club: Hilo

Nancy Cabral joined the Rotary Club of Hilo on January 29, 1988, as the first woman member. She served as the Club’s Centennial President in 2020-2021 to celebrate its 100th year anniversary 2020 and has served on numerous positions in the club . She is the owner of Day-Lum Rentals Management for 40 years and also operated the Coldwell Banker Day-Lum Properties for 28 years in Hilo.

Nancy has been actively involved with Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center, the Hawai‘i Island Leadership Council for Hawai‘i Community Foundation and is President of the H.C. Shipman Foundation. In addition, Cabral is a member of the Hawai’i Board of Realtors, Zonta Club of Hilo, the National Association of Property Managers, Hawai’i Island Chamber of Commerce, the Hilo Downtown Improvement Association, and the Hawai‘i Horse Owners Association. She has been instrumental in the production of the Pana’ewa Stampede Rodeo for the past 31 years which helps to preserve the Hawai’ian Paniolo Culture.  She was appointed by Governors Ige and Green to serve on the State Land Use Commission where she oversaw land zoning changes throughout the State of Hawai’i. She has been awarded the Athena Award for her success in helping women in the community and workplace and her company has been voted “Best in East Hawai’i” for many of the past twenty years.  

Nancy is a Rotary Major Donor level 2, White Hat Society Member and PolioPlus Society Member.
